It is important for Africa to refocus the research done on the continent on the issues that the continent has and that each country identifies what its problems are and impose to researchers to work on these issues.

To boost research in Africa, it is first of all necessary to reposition research in public, economic and social policies by putting in place a plan for the development of research at the level of public policies to allow the creation of a high council of scientific and technical research which will have as its mission to organize and coordinate research from the different departments with research potentials (ministry of health, ministry of agriculture, ministry of higher education and research…) and set up sovereignty funds

Research has a crucial role to play to help in healthcare decision, governments need to promote research, facilitation of research and also to ensure that research is being used in policy.
