Importance of promoting and encouraging greater food self-sufficiency at regional level in Africa.
- The African agriculture should become more resilient to climatic and economic health shocks while aiming for a double integration: agro-industrial in particular through the agricultural processing zones-ZTA, by the search for complementarity and synergy in the field of food production
- The African agricultural policy must aim at strengthening food security, improving the competitiveness of the sector, promoting agricultural exports and optimal management of natural resources including water (limiting factor in countries with water stress

The AfCFTA would harmonize the continent’s trade environment, the development of intra-African trade and increase interregional trade for multi-dimensional food security

Africa should rely on a strategy of its food crops to cover all national consumption needs in food products, generate surpluses for export, increase added value and create jobs

Digitalisation (blockchain, smartphones and connected objects) : could help improve agricultural techniques to increase farming productivity and resilience in the face of climatic risks.
